Woven Thoughts

The Desert in Bloom is a phenomenon that happens around every 4 years in Atacama, the driest desert of the world, in the North of Chile. The infertile earth is embroidered with a veil of flowers resembling a mantle over the fields. “Woven Thoughts” is a series of embroidered drawings inspired on the beauty of the desert in bloom. Far from a literal interpretation, this project is an abstraction of the landscape and its tranquil aesthetical appeal in terms of materiality, texture and depth of tone. As the title of the work suggest these pieces are the spontaneous reflections of the designer towards nature and the material: silk mohair. A consciousness monologue of her creativity.
