Contemporary Cuban Poster Show
Motivated by this new era for US- Cuba relations, we present ¡OYE CUBA!, a pop-up exhibition of Contemporary Cuban art posters direct from Havana. This project seeks to make Cuban graphic design more visible. The artists combine design, painting, printmaking, literature and photography with a sense of humor, irony and innovative spirit that is only found in Cuba.
The minimalist installation, commissioned by architect, Elliot Olson, was inspired by the lavandería, mimicking the clothing lines that are commonly seen atop rooftops and draped across balconies and courtyards.
UPDATE : ALL POSTERS FROM THE EXHIBITION HAVE SOLD OUT.
